Terms of Use
These terms apply to everyone who uses this website. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. About these terms
Who we are. This website is run by Bestway International Christian Centre, registered charity number 1138890, of 11-14 Graces Mews, Camberwell, London (“BICC”, “we”, “us”). You can contact us at office@bestway.org.uk.
Other policies. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information, including prayer requests. Our cookie banner explains the cookies we use and lets you choose which ones to allow.
Changes. We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the bottom of this page shows when they last changed. Please check back now and then, because the version on this page is the one that applies.
2. Using our website
You may use this website for personal, lawful purposes: to learn about our church, watch services, find a branch, and get in touch. Please use it respectfully.
You must not:
- break any law, or use the site to harass, threaten, defame or harm anyone;
- send content that is offensive, hateful, sexually explicit, or misleading, including through our forms;
- pretend to be someone else, or send messages or prayer requests on someone’s behalf without their permission;
- send spam, advertising or bulk messages through our forms;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or its data, or interfere with how it works (for example with viruses, automated scraping or attacks);
- copy or reuse our content except as section 3 allows.
We may block access, remove content, or decline messages from anyone who breaks these rules.
3. Our content
The sermons, videos, articles, resources, photographs, logo and design on this website belong to BICC or to people who have given us permission to use them. They are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
What you can do. You are welcome to watch, read, download and print our sermons and resources for personal study, small groups and non-commercial ministry. You may also share links to our pages and videos.
What needs our permission. Please ask us first before you:
- sell, charge for, or otherwise use our content commercially;
- edit, re-cut or re-upload our videos or audio as your own;
- use our name, logo or photographs, especially photographs of people, in your own materials;
- present our content in a way that suggests BICC endorses you, your organisation or your views.
When you share or quote our content, please credit “Bestway International Christian Centre” and link back to this website where you can.
Bible quotations. Scripture quotations marked (NIV) are taken from the Holy Bible, New International Version®, NIV®. Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984, 2011 by Biblica, Inc.® Used by permission. All rights reserved worldwide.
4. Forms, prayer requests and giving
What you send us. When you use our contact form, prayer request form or newsletter sign-up, please give accurate details and only share information you are happy for us to hold. Do not include other people’s private details unless they have agreed. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use and protect what you send.
Prayer requests. We read every prayer request and pray over it, but we cannot promise a reply or a particular outcome. If you leave your email address, a member of our pastoral team may follow up with you.
Newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
Giving. Our website shows bank details for giving by bank transfer; we do not take card payments on this site yet, but we plan to add them later and will update these terms when we do. Please check the details carefully before you send money, because we cannot recover a payment sent to the wrong account. Gifts are voluntary and are used for the work of the church. Once received, a gift cannot normally be refunded; if you have made a mistake, contact us at office@bestway.org.uk as soon as possible and we will do our best to help.
Gift Aid. BICC claims Gift Aid on eligible donations. If you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid lets us claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give, at no cost to you. To make a Gift Aid declaration, please ask us for a form at office@bestway.org.uk.
5. Links and embedded content
Our website includes content from other services, such as YouTube videos and live streams, and Google Maps. It also links to other websites, including the websites of our branches in other countries.
These services and websites are run by others, and their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. We are not responsible for their content, availability or how they handle your information. A link to another website does not mean we endorse everything on it.
6. Spiritual guidance, not professional advice
Our sermons, teaching and resources share Christian faith and spiritual encouragement. They are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Please speak to a qualified professional about those matters, and do not stop any medical treatment because of something you have read or heard here.
If you need urgent help. Our website and prayer request form are not monitored around the clock. If you or someone else is in danger, call 999. For urgent medical help, call NHS 111. If you are struggling and need to talk, you can call the Samaritans free on 116 123 at any time.
7. Availability, liability and the law
Accuracy. We try to keep service times, events and other details up to date, but they can change at short notice. Please check with us before travelling a long way for a particular service or event.
Availability. We provide this website free of charge and “as it is”. We may change, pause or remove any part of it at any time, and we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors or viruses.
Our liability. We are not responsible for any loss or damage caused by using, or being unable to use, this website, or by relying on its content, except where the law does not allow us to limit our responsibility. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.
The law that applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute about them will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
Contact us. If you have a question about these terms, email office@bestway.org.uk.
