Discover Bestway

A Place to Belong, Grow & Thrive

From local UK communities to the ends of the earth, Bestway exists to help you discover your God-given identity, deepen your faith, and make a lasting impact.

Our Mission

Empowering people from all walks of life to become the best in all that God has called them to be, walking in faith and advancing into their God-given destiny.

Rooted in Isaiah 48:17: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.”

Our History & Vision

Bestway International Christian Centre (BICC) was founded with a simple, enduring purpose: to be a place where people from every background can encounter the love of God, find true belonging, and discover their God-given purpose.

Birthed through God's Inspiration on the General Overseer, Pastor Joseph Adeyemo. Our journey began in January 2010, when he received specific instruction from Isaiah 48:17 (NIV); “This is what the Lord says, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is BEST for you, who directs you in the WAY you should go”.  From this passage, the name Bestway International Christian Centre came into being.

From a small gathering of believers, the Lord has graciously grown our family into a multi-location church serving cities across the UK and beyond. Our vision remains the same — to raise disciples who reflect Christ in their homes, workplaces, and communities.

We are passionate about Scripture, prayer, worship, and the practical care of people. Whether you are exploring faith for the first time or have walked with the Lord for many years, you are warmly welcome here.

What we believe

Statement of Faith

  1. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  2. We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and our final authority for faith and practice.

  3. We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

  4. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, empowering believers to live godly lives.

  5. We believe in the church as the body of Christ, called to worship, fellowship, and mission.

These are the beliefs that shape our preaching, worship and life together. If you are coming from another church, or exploring faith for the first time, we hope this helps. You are welcome to talk any of it through with one of our pastors.

The Bible

The Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God, true and trustworthy. It is our final authority for what we believe and how we live.

2 Timothy 3:16–17 · 2 Peter 1:20–21 · Psalm 119:105

God

There is one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory.

Deuteronomy 6:4 · Matthew 28:19 · 2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead and ascended to the right hand of the Father, where He intercedes for us.

John 1:1, 14 · Matthew 1:23 · 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 · Hebrews 4:14–15

Humanity and sin

Every person is made in the image of God and is deeply loved by Him. All have sinned and fall short of His glory, and sin separates us from God.

Genesis 1:27 · Romans 3:23 · Romans 6:23

Salvation

Salvation is God's free gift, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not earned by good works. When we repent and believe, we are forgiven, born again and made children of God.

Ephesians 2:8–9 · John 3:3, 16 · Romans 10:9–10 · Acts 3:19

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit lives in every believer, leading us into truth and growing His fruit in our lives. We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as a promise for every believer, empowering us to be witnesses, and that the gifts of the Spirit, including speaking in tongues, are for the church today.

John 14:16–17 · Acts 1:8 · Acts 2:1–4, 38–39 · 1 Corinthians 12:4–11 · Galatians 5:22–23

Water baptism

Baptism by full immersion in water is for everyone who has put their faith in Jesus. It is a public declaration that we have died to our old life and been raised to new life in Christ.

Matthew 28:19 · Acts 2:38, 41 · Romans 6:3–4

Holy Communion

Jesus asked us to share bread and wine in remembrance of Him. In Holy Communion we remember His death for us, give thanks for His victory and look forward to His return. All who believe in Jesus are welcome to take part.

Luke 22:19–20 · 1 Corinthians 11:23–26

Prayer and healing

God hears and answers prayer. Through the cross He still heals and delivers today, so we pray for the sick with faith, and we also value doctors and medical care as part of God's provision.

Isaiah 53:5 · James 5:14–16 · Philippians 4:6–7

The Church

The Church is the body of Christ, made up of all true believers. The local church is a family where we worship, pray, learn God's Word, share Communion, care for one another and reach our communities, and every member has a part to play.

Acts 2:42–47 · Ephesians 4:11–16 · Hebrews 10:24–25

Christian living

Followers of Jesus are called to a holy life of love, integrity and generosity, offering our whole lives to God and serving others as He has served us.

Romans 12:1–2 · 1 Peter 1:15–16 · 2 Corinthians 9:7

The return of Christ

Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory. The dead will be raised, everyone will be judged by Him, and those who belong to Him will live with God forever in a new heaven and a new earth. Those who reject Him will be separated from God forever.

Acts 1:11 · 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 · John 5:28–29 · Revelation 21:1–4
