The Attributes of a Good Steward
What does a good steward looks like. Everything we have, including time, talents and money, is entrusted to us by God to serve others (1 Peter 4:10; Psalm 24:1). Using the sheep and the goats in Matthew 25, it shows that stewardship is holistic, reaching the hungry, the stranger and the sick, and that we are accountable to God for it. A good steward is compassionate, generous, honest, hardworking, prayerful and proactive, and should never be a stumbling block to another’s faith. ‘Whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.’
