Faithful Stewardship

1 Corinthians 4:2: ‘It is required of stewards that they be found faithful.’ Everything we have, including our time, gifts, children, careers and money, belongs to God (Psalm 24:1), and we are trustees, like someone looking after a neighbour’s keys or car. Drawing on the parable of the talents, it teaches that God adds more to those who are faithful with a little, so while we look to God for evidence this year, He looks to us for evidence of faithful stewardship.
