Faith That Produces in Every Generation
Closing August, the month of evidence across generations, this message teaches that every generation needs faith that produces, and it has three parts. Faith to receive: salvation is a gift of grace received personally, not inherited from pastor parents (Ephesians 2:8-9), and God always has more for us, because everything we have we received (1 Corinthians 4:7). Faith to build: we are God’s fellow workers and wise master builders on the foundation of Christ (1 Corinthians 3:9-11), called to build our children, households and communities, not just ourselves. Faith to multiply: disciple people who will disciple others, and pass on our testimony so the next generation sets its hope in God (Psalm 78:4-7). It warns that even a magnificent church building will stand empty if we fail to raise the next generation, and it ends with prayer for salvation and for kingdom-minded leaders.
