Planting and Watering the Seed for Your Generations
The Sunday after the Winners’ Conference, in the month of generational anointing, this message says that what God starts in your lifetime is meant to flow through your generations, as His promise to Abraham reached Isaac, Jacob and beyond (Genesis 12:3; Psalm 37:25). The righteous flourish when they are planted (Psalm 92:12-13), and we only harvest what we plant, so we must plant the seed of God’s Word by doing it, not just hearing it (James 1:22), and water it with words of faith rather than careless speech (Proverbs 12:14). Generational anointing sets a family apart for God (‘As for me and my house’), so anything not of God that was passed down to us must stop with us, and parents must pass on their faith, as Timothy’s grandmother and mother did, and lead family prayer. Finally, we must keep bringing God’s promises to His remembrance, as Israel cried out in Egypt and Jacob wrestled for his blessing.
